Salvatore has been cultivating a passion for this splendid breed for over 35 years, following his subjects at every stage, from puppy to adult.
Puppies, like their parents, have a balanced and sociable character, never aggressive or shy.
Currently in our Irish Setter kennel, we have 19 adults and big puppies, 9 femmine e 10 maschi, all of the highest English genealogy.
Ours is not a “simple kennel” but also a meeting point for all lovers of the breed.
Irish Setter Characteristics
A very intelligent, energetic, affectionate and loyal dog. These are some of the adjectives that define it as a beautiful and livable breed in all its facets. The Irish Setter is a dog very attached to the family environment, is very attentive and adapts very well as a companion and apartment dog.
Although he is a good hunting dog he has a friendly expression, he is very athletic physically, but he is characterized above all by his elegance. It is a medium sized dog, very well built with a long, lean head with muzzle and skull of equal length.
The Irish Setter has a beautiful shiny coat of a warm bright mahogany, with fringe on the upper part of the ears, long and silky; on the back of the forelegs and hind legs it is long and fine; has a good abundance of hair on the belly which forms a fringe that can extend to the chest and throat. The tail has a moderately long fringe of hair, which decreases in length as it approaches the tip. All the bangs are straight and flat.
